Kimberly Kay Photography has a really exciting year ahead! With wonderful weddings on the books that will lead us to beautiful love stories all other the northwest as well as a NEW office/gallery opening. We couldn’t be more excited about all the upcoming details to share very soon. We will also be collaborating with another amazing local wedding vendor with some new awesome photography packages. Also, keep a look out for our brand new website to launch with in the next week.
We had such a special 2009. We are so thrilled for all the exciting weddings this year.
With that being said …. I will also be restructuring the business slightly. With the primary focus being weddings. We will no longer be photographing senior portraits as well as maternity sessions. We will officially be retiring that portion of our portfolio to the website shortly. We will still be excepting family portraiture.
If you are in need of senior portraits or maternity sessions I would love to refer you to Kelly Goff of KG Photography check out her website http://www.kgoff.com/
Stay tuned for more details to come!
Cheers,
~Kimberly Kay
You may of gathered by now, that Chris really enjoys landscape photography. He’s got a great gift with capturing these amazing Central Oregon Landscapes! After all he’s been doing it for 25 years now. Recently he was hired to travel to Eugene to shoot an early evening landscape shot from Mt. Tom in the Colburg Foothills of the Willamette Valley near Eugene. This 3 foot by 6 foot gallery canvas made for a beautiful wall piece for our clients.
When we are not busy shooting weddings, you can almost guarantee Chris is off to climb some mountain top, or seeking out another adventure that has anything to do with beautiful and unique macro photography and landscapes.
His work will be displayed for sale in the Umpqua Bank in Northwest Crossing for 3 months starting next week. Over the past year he has had many requests for landscape photography. If you are interested in possible pieces he’s shot in the past… or you have a special request for landscape photography of your favorite spectacular locations, contact Chris directly @ obscuraorama@gmail.com or (206) 898-3367

We are really excited to be the featured photographer for the “Real Wedding” in the Oregon Bride Magazine for Spring/Summer 2010. What an awesome couple from Seattle, and great wedding out at Sparks Lake in Central Oregon this past September.

All I wanted for Christmas was my “own” family photo shoot. I have never had any photos taken of myself with my own kids, or better yet our own family together. I begged and begged my children to please just once allow me to take photos of them… and family photos together.
So many people say to me on shoots… “Boy you must have amazing family photos!”…and I always chuckle to myself… thinking YEAH RIGHT! Ha… my kids, no way… they have been around a camera enough to know they do NOT want to take the time to do that. It’s like chasing them around for hours hoping to snap a few okay shots.
But this year we managed to do just that. I had my own dream come true… Smith Rock… (my favorite place in Central Oregon) golden lighting and all my family that I cherish dearly.
I could not be happier this holiday season! I will cherish these images.
Everyone asks our opinions on what to wear for photos… I will plug THE GAP always! Practically everything we are wearing is from the Gap. It is always easy to match colors and styles with everyone no matter what the season is. We choose colors that will match nice with our decor in the house… as we like to display things large on our walls.
My three amazing children Bret, Awbrey and Johnny
My daughter Awbrey striking her pose!
The family…
And at last, a photo of myself with all my children… I will cherish it even if… I had to pull teeth to get even the little fake smiles on their faces! LOL I love it anyway.
